About Us

Theraputta National School is located in the Hambantota district, Southern Province, Sri Lanka. It is a mixed school with current enrollments exceeding 5000. It was started in 1940 as one of the first central colleges from the vision of Dr. C.W.W. Kannangara. It is also one of first five Central Colleges in Sri Lanka. It bears the name of D. M. Rajapaksa in honor of his legacy and contributions. Today, Theraputta National is one of top 50 schools in Sri Lanka..
